It’s prize time again for one random commenter. This week’s winner is:
JULIE S
Congratulations, Julie S! Send me your info and I will send you something fun. (I have a backlog of fun stuff to send out, but I have a trip to the post office planned for this very afternoon, so yay!)
In other news… Regarding Bill & Tessa’s questions about the upcoming wedding. It won’t be taking place in September after all. I don’t have any other info at this time, but when I have something to announce, I’ll let you know!
Moving right along to my favorite portion of the show: Karma ‘fess up time!
This week I critted, helped plotstorm, yielded when I had the right-of-way in order to allow cars waiting to turn/merge into traffic, and generally practiced being nice.
YOUR TURN: How’s your karma? Been behavin’ or misbehavin’? Were you a recipient of anyone else’s random acts of kindness?

The best news on the Good Karma front, of course, was that from safe-driver Erica. Hard to top that one!!
I was intrigued when someone de-lurked on my blog the other day (“How to Win an Award…”) and talked about bad karma biting a certain nasty ex-librarian on the hindquarters. I have no idea who this person is, but it’s always nice to have affirmation of Bill’s First Rule of Life: Karma obtains.
Because it does, you see. Follow Erica’s example of yielding the right of way and smiling at people, and Nice Things will happen back to you. Spread malice and untruths and try to hurt other people, and you will wind up with your butt in a sling.
Sounds absurdly simple, I know; but I think it’s worth repeating.
*Bill goes off to spread good karma, still grinning ear-to-ear with the fantabulous news about TATTF*

Congrats Julie S.
Good Karma is something I believe in 100%. When I was young my mom used to say “What goes around comes around.” Little did she know she was talking about Karma. Or did she? Hmmmm…something to ponder.
This week I’ve offered my place in line at the store, also let people turn in front of me to help the long turn lines, helped at work with things other than mine, and brought in a small surprise for a co-worker who is having a rough week.
Bill – how’s your fingers? All nice and pink again, I hope. I’m totally with you on the excitment for TATTF.

The only thing even slightly karmatic this week was my volunteering at the library. They had their end-of-summer-reading party, and I was in charge of the weinies. Me, a vat of hot dogs and a pair of tongs – feeding the next generation of readers. (At least the ones in this tiny town.)

“Karmatic”?
*Bill runs off to check the dictionary, and then stops, realizing that new coinages are the silver and gold that enrich the word-hoard of the language*
I like “karmatic”. It has more weight and gravitas than “karmic”.
Very appropriate to the activity of “feeding the next generation of readers,” without whom all our wordmithing would be in vain.
And Vicki – thanks for asking about the fingers (Miss Erica herself never bothered to ask – hmpf!). Yes, all nice and pink again, and happily flying over the keyboard.
