I am having the same problem with my Book 2. I think I am going to render my forehead permanently flat from banging it against yonder brick wall.

I guess I’m one of those blessed with the “gimme” books, since I now have four of them completed. But it’s the tweaking that takes time, in my case, and even after I think it’s tweaked to death and out in print, I keep finding typos and more emendations to make.
So, as our British friends say, what you lose on the swings you make up on the roundabouts. If your scenes are “tweak-free”, you’re that much further ahead of the game!

CM: We will be forehead-scab twins. It’s so weird, b/c I really *like* this story now (first version, not so much) but it’s soooo haaaaard…
D: Yay new laptop! Someday I’ve got to set aside a billion hours to transfer all my files and software to it so I can actually use the thing…
