Story Sematary
How many books did Erica write before crafting the selling one? Four. (So I guess... fifth time's the charm for some folks, eh?)
Whatever happened to the little manuscripts that couldn't? Is there a pyre in her backyard where Erica sets fire to such unloved creatures? A cemetery chock-full of their broken little spines?
In short, my friends, the answer is a resounding NO! These stories do not die*. Erica prefers to think of them as... well, mulching. Yes, mulching. In the Magical Mulch Pile under her bed. Where their constant deterioration can provide nutrients and growth to the shinier, sparklier manuscripts which spring forth from such fertile soil.
* They live forever in your heart!
Sooo... what were these little beasts like before they started biodegrading and stuff?
