I promised pix of my newly reorganized office, and then I got crazy-busy and haven’t completely finished moving/unpacking. However, I’m so excited about it that I simply can’t wait to share photo evidence of the transformation with you!
As you may or may not know, I’m a crafty person and giant scrapbooker, so my office has always been dual (triple?) purpose: working/writing, and arts/crafts/scrapbooking. (And to be honest, I use the artsy stuff in my work/writing life, too, when I’m designing or making story boards and collages and other stuff.)
Today, I’d like to show you what I like to call the Wall of Scrap. (Tomorrow will be the Wall of Work–stay tuned!)
How can you scrapbook in that mess?

You have a tile floor? Our only tiled spaces are the bathrooms/toilet. The kitchen and laundry have linoleum,and everything else is carpet.
Maybe you in the U.S. are a bit more daring with your flooring

OMG! It’s like that show on TLC where they take a family and declutter their house. (Can’t think of the name, but it’s early yet.) Only you did it on your own. You rock.

Oh! My! God!! I’ve had copies of some of my books placed in the Royal Swedish Library and other hi-falutin’ locations, but never – I mean NEVER – have I been so honored to see something I did in such a pride of place.

Tez: Actually, my entire house is in tile. Not a stitch of carpet to be found, except for the occasional rug.
Bernard: Okay, busted. But I made sure to put only storage-y stuff over there that I will *almost never* need, but yet needs to be reasonably on hand for when I do need it.

Looks great! I’m doing the same thing in my sewing room (so hopefully it’s finally serve as a writing room as well)… wish me luck!
